Every year on August 13, an incredible cut of steak gets its very own special day - National Filet Mignon Day! This gives you an added reason, besides the amazing taste, to pay a visit to the best steak and seafood restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. Filet Mignon 
Beef is made up of many different cuts of meat. The tenderloin that a Filet Mignon is taken from is the most tender cut that seems to melt in your mouth with every bite. You might be interested to know a few fun facts about this particular cut of meat.
  • In French, Filet Mignon means "cute fillet" or "dainty fillet."  
  • Filet Mignon is always beef in America, but in France, it can also refer to pork.
  • The term "Filet Mignon" was first used in William Sydney Porter's 1906 book of short stories titled "The Four Million."   
  • Restaurants in the U.S.A. have been putting this delicious dish on their menus since 1898.

6-oz. Filet Mignon topped with tender bits of lump crab and shrimp. It's finished with asparagus spears and Bearnaise sauce.

6-oz. Filet Mignon and your choice of shrimp.

Steak and Australian Lobster Tail
One pound of North Australian lobster tail served with a 6-oz. Filet Mignon.

Prime Rib
Seasoned prime rib roast served traditional, charbroiled, or blackened. It can be served as a regular cut or extra cut.

KC Strip
Strip loin topped with maître d' butter.

Steak Woodrow
A 6-oz. filet, pepper encrusted and topped with caramelized red onion and bacon, then finished with Hollandaise.

Hook's Tournados
Two 3-oz. tenderloin medallions charbroiled and finished with sauteed mushrooms, lump crab, and bearnaise.

Steak and Alaskan King Crab Legs
One pound of Alaskan King Crab Legs steamed in spices, served with drawn butter, and paired with a 6-oz. char-grilled filet.

Traditional Steak Bites (Appetizer)
Filet Mignon tips with red onion and peppers, marinated and grilled.

Sirloin Bleu(Lunch)
6-oz. cut sirloin, charbroiled then topped with melted bleu cheese and tobacco onions.

Black 'N Bleu (Pasta)
Beef tenderloin tips blackened and served over fettuccine topped with bleu cheese.
