Thank You for an Amazing 2015!

Christmas is a time to gather together with family and friends to celebrate the season.  Food, drinks, and festive fun are had by all.   JB Hook's cocktail menu features many delicious drinks, and today we are spotlighting six that would pair beautifully with a holiday celebration.   Pomegranate Margarita Pomegranate is a wonderful Christmas flavor, and you will love our margarita version. We mix together Herradura Reposado, Pomegranate liqueur, and Cointreau, then top it with sweet & sour. Apple-tini We simply love the green color of this tasty drink full of apple vodka, Apple Pucker, and Wild Olive Apple.  It looks so festive in the glass!   Sapphire Blackberry Collins If you have a lady that loves beautiful jewels, maybe she would also love our signature "sapphire" cocktail.  It contains Bambay Sapphire gin, lemon juice, blackberry brandy, and is topped with club soda. 11 Fun Facts About Christmas

We have really been enjoying seeing everyone celebrate the holidays here at the best seafood restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks .  Our private party rooms have been host to some pretty fantastic celebrations already this year.  With Christmas on the brain, today we decided to share a few fun facts for your entertainment.  Here is JB Hook's  top 11 list, because 10 simply wasn't enough! 1.  The very first Christmas tree decorations used were apples.  This came from plays in medieval times about Adam and Eve. 2. Your Christmas tree is probably about 15 years old.  On average, that's how long they grow before being chopped down.   3.  Every year, thousands of letters that are written to Santa make their way to Santa Clause, Indiana. 4. Holiday Events at the Lake of the Ozarks

There are so many exciting things to do in the Lake area to celebrate all of the December holidays.  The best seafood restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks , is all decked out in our Christmas finest for a joyful, festive feeling throughout every room in our building.  Just being in our restaurant will get you in the mood to do all kinds of fun holiday things.  Today JB Hooks has a few of the best events going on around the lake this December for you to enjoy. Jingle Jog Friday, December 11, 2015 The YMCA is raising money and keeping people active this year with their 1st Annual Jingle Jog .  It is $20 to take part in this 5K if you register early, or $25 the day of. They are even hosting a 2-mile walk if the 5K is more than you are used to. This time of year there seems to be a party planned for every weekend throughout the holidays.  Sometimes it is difficult to make yours stand out from the rest.   JB Hook's has a few ideas listed below for some really fun themes to make your party memorable and fun.  Any one of the following celebrations would be perfect to throw at the best lake view restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks .   White Christmas Party For those that are always dreaming of a white Christmas, make it happen!  While we don't encourage actual snow inside our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant , you can definitely throw a party that embodies the idea.  Sparkly snowflakes hanging all around the room, white tablecloths with a hint of shimmer, and white place settings with shiny silver flatware.  You can even go a step further and ask everyone to dress in all white!  Choose scallops or another type of white seafood, and a side such as steamed cauliflower or mashed potatoes.       Gingerbread House C
