With the best steaks and seafood at the Lake of the Ozarks , JB Hook’s is an award-winning institution and a crowd favorite. It wasn’t always an easy road getting to where we are today.  By adapting to change and persevering through crisis, owners John Lafata and Bruce Elliott created the JB Hook’s you know and love today. Our history is rich and inspiring, and we are grateful to be able to share our story with you. Ownership The JB Hook’s location was originally owned by Dave and Phillis Marose in 1978 under the name Captain Hook’s. Then Dwayne and Donna Steele owned the location under the name Krazo’s for a time. In 1995 John Lafata and Bruce Elliott opened the beloved JB Hook’s, combining their initials and hearkening back to the location’s roots. Nearly a year ago we used our blog to tease some exciting news - A Bigger, Better JB Hook's ! The much anticipated new addition of our fine dining restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is now open for business! Many of you have already stopped by to check it out. The peek we're giving you in today's blog is sure to entice the rest of you to come in soon and do the same. The West Wing is OPEN! Construction of the brand new West Wing of JB Hook's started a year ago in July 2018. Our very own, very talented Bruce Elliott designed the addition. You can now enjoy our gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable newest addition 7 days a week beginning at 4:00 pm . That is when the doors open for cocktails in the lounge and bar area as well as that beautiful new outdoor patio. Dinner service begins nightly at 5:00 pm.
