Shootout on the Strip This Wednesday, August 23
The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout brings thousands of spectators to the lake area every year to enjoy some of the fastest boats compete for the title of "Top Gun." The races themselves take place over the weekend, on Saturday & Sunday, August 26 & 27. There are lots of other exciting events happening all week long prior to the races, and one of those is happening just up the street from your favorite seafood & steak restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks!
Shootout on the Strip
August 23, 2017 - 5-10 pm
JB Hook's is excited that we get to be close to at least some of the Shootout action this year! Everyone in town for the races will get the chance to see what this side of town has to offer, and a visit to our Lake of the Ozarks fine dining restaurant will be one of the highlights!
The Shootout on the Strip takes place on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. Racing boats will be lined up on the street, and the road will be blocked off so that you are free to roam and inspect those powerboats up close. The racers and their teams will be on hand too to answer any questions you may have.
Join Us For Happy Hour
Before you head on over to the Shootout on the Strip, stop by JB Hook's for the best Happy Hour at the Lake of the Ozarks. Our hours change slightly depending on the season, but right now you can enjoy our Happy Hour from 3-7 pm every Sunday-Friday. We offer a large selection of delicious half-price appetizers, plus great drink specials on house wines, our extremely popular Homemade Sangria, and well drinks.
We've always got some amazing live music lined up for you in the bar area from 5:30-8:30 pm. All Jolly will be here on Wednesday night, so make sure you plan time into your trip to the Shootout on the Strip so that you can hear some of Al's awesome performance.

If you'd rather head to the strip first, we'll be here waiting to serve you an amazing dinner when you're done! Our world-class steak and seafood menu is an excellent way to end any day. No matter what you're hungry for, you are sure to find something on our extensive gourmet menu to satisfy any hunger. By the way, casual attire is perfectly fine, so no need to get all dressed up, just come as you are. We're thrilled to have you! Our kids' menu is incredible too, so bring the whole family along.
Have Lunch This Week
For those of you that are spending the entire week at the lake to attend as many of the Shootout events as possible, you can also joins us daily for lunch beginning at 11:00 am. The menu is slightly different than our dinner fare, but still just as delicious, including amazing seafood dishes and gourmet sandwiches and salads. Each day we feature a new lunch special, as well as a burger of the day.
We hope that all of you enjoy this week full of events leading up to the always exciting Lake of the Ozarks Shootout.
