Fun On (& Off) the Water - the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout
The Lake of the Ozarks Shootout brings thousands of spectators to the lake area every year to enjoy watching some of the fastest boats compete for the title of "Top Gun." The main event is the timed races taking place over the weekend of Saturday and Sunday, August 25 & 26. Leading up to that, there lots of different fun events all around town, including the "Shootout on the Strip," which happens to take place just up the road from JB Hook's ! Shootout on the Strip Wednesday, August 22 Everyone gets a chance to check out the amazing Shootout racing boats, as well as meet the teams behind those boats, during the Shootout on the Strip. Boats will begin lining up on Hwy. 242 at 2 pm on Wednesday afternoon, and around 3:45 pm they will caravan to the historic Bagnell Dam Strip. There, they'll park and get ready for the crowds to get a real up close and personal look at these magnificent machines out of the water. The Happy Hour at our Lake of the Oz...
