A Fantastically Delicious Cut of Steak - the Prime Rib

Prime rib is one of the many succulent steaks that we serve daily, and in honor of this marvelous meat, we've gathered a few interesting facts about it to share with you.  Prime rib is sometimes referred to as the "King of Meats." One taste makes it incredibly clear as to why that is.  It is also known as a "standing rib roast." The reason for this is because it is actually roasted in a standing position.  The name prime rib refers to the origin of the cut, not the USDA grade.  There are 8 primal cuts of beef, and prime rib is one of them.  It is cut from the area behind the shoulder but above the lower back, which is where you will find some of the most tender meat.
