The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop - Family Fun at the Lake of the Ozarks
JB Hook's is a part of a wonderful community where a lot of fun activities and events take place. When those things also raise money for deserving local organizations, that makes them even more special. Just up the road from our seafood & steak restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks an incredible family fun event is taking place soon - The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop on Saturday, August 3, 2019.
The Duck Drop
This wonderful annual event at the Lake of the Ozarks is celebrating its 11th year and offers fun for all ages. There is a golf tournament on Friday and a Family Fun Zone on Saturday along with the chance to watch thousands of rubber duckies "fly" from helicopters and out of pontoon boats into the Osage River below Bagnell Dam.
For just $5, you can "adopt" a rubber duckie or, better yet, support an entire flock of 6 for just $20 and increase your chances of winning the grand prize! All funds raised remain local and are distributed to non-profit organizations via the Ozark Coast Kiwanis Organization. Tickets can be purchased at the golf tournament and in the Family Fun Zone on Duck Drop day from 10:00-11:00 am. You can adopt ducks right now at the following locations:
The Golf Tournament
On Friday, August 2, 2019, the day before the big Duck Drop, a one-of-a-kind "quacky" golf tournament will take place at the Ridge Golf Course at the Lodge of Four Seasons. You can register for the tournament online for a day full of fun benefitting the Lake Area Big Brothers Big Sisters and Ozark Coast Kiwanis.
This 4-person, 18-hole scramble (Quack Holes included!) begins with registration at noon and lunch will be provided. There will be a shotgun start at 1:30 pm and an awards ceremony afterward. It costs $125 per person to participate and your entry fee includes a goody bag plus 10 Duck Drop tickets. There will also be $25,000 cash hole-in-one contest, a long putt contest, multiple flights for prizes, and many other course contests and special events throughout the tournament.
The Family Fun Zone
