JB Hook's is my go to at the lake. The food is amazing, the service, unmatched. OMG the views. They have a great happy hour. They have a new side with another awesome patio too. Great place for Sunset. I go there every time I’m at the lake. It’s 100 feet up on a cliff over the lake. If you’re looking to impress it is the spot.

Very elegant dinner on the lake. Incredible views and tremendous food. I had the prime rib and my wife had the grouper. Couldn't have been more pleased with the service and the food. Highly recommend!

My friend and I went in on a Wednesday evening. The place was packed, but the very friendly, attentive staff got us seated right away. Our server was wonderful...she really knew her menu, answered our several questions in a friendly, knowledgeable manner and made terrific suggestions.

We have been to JB Hook's a couple of times for appetizer and once for dinner. Not sure why I haven't done a review, but here it is after the best visit by far.
First of all, our server was phenomenal. All his suggestions were spot on. I loved the mayfair salad, my wife had the scallops, which were the best we've ever had - just amazing. I had the swordfish, which I'm always afraid will be dry, but it was also perfect.
I don't know how we could have enjoyed this meal any more. It was a gorgeous sunset on top of everything else. We'll definitely be back.

The Best Food at the Lake!
We split the stuffed lobster tail entrée and it was incredible. Absolutely one of the best meals I've had. A one-pound lobster tail...yep, 16 succulent ounces of lobster, stuffed with decadent crab stuffing, panko bread crumbs and broiled. But that's not all! It's served with an accompanying dish of five rich, plump diver scallops and shrimp in a perfect, buttery, garlicky scampi sauce. Oh my. That entrée was heavenly! To finish off we had a warm, gooey brownie topped with vanilla bean ice cream, hot fudge, caramel and walnuts. The perfect ending to a great, delicious meal.
If you want to experience something special, I definitely recommend J.B. Hook's!

This was the Perfect spot for lunch on our drive from Columbia to Springfield!!! The staff was wonderful and the food was amazing. We got the chicken Buffalo wrap and the Cobb salad. The flavors were just right and the views made the whole experience worth it.

The Lake's Best Ocean Fish and Steaks
Shame we always enjoyed coming here on our visits to the Lake. But last Thursday the $48 KC Strip steak had griddle and fat in it. More of what I would expect from a Rib Eye. So looks like we will on JB Hooks next year.
