Valentine's Day Itineraries Planned for You!
Sometimes it can be hard to find creative ideas to celebrate romantic time with your special someone. JB Hook's has it covered for you! Check out these two incredible itineraries you can choose from for a romantic Valentine's Day at the Lake of the Ozarks this year. Keep reading and be sure to make your reservations soon!
Itinerary One - Time Alone, Skating, & a Delicious Dinner
9:00 a.m. - Let your special someone sleep in and make them a special breakfast in bed. If they don't get to relax very often and are constantly on the go, they are going to love the extra time to themselves! Breakfast doesn't have to be complicated to be meaningful. Make a bowl of oatmeal with thin slices of apples and a little brown sugar and cinnamon for a tasty breakfast that looks like it took a lot of time when it only takes a couple of minutes. Add a cup of coffee or their favorite tea on a tray with a flower to complete the morning.
10:00 a.m. - Take your time enjoying a slow morning together. Ask each other questions you may not know the answers to, discuss your dreams, make a bucket list... It's all about getting to know each other better and deepening your relationship with one another.
11:00 p.m. - Set up a picnic in the living room! It may feel cheesy, but it can also be fun and sentimental to spend some time together in a different way than you normally do. Go above and beyond with a picnic blanket on the ground, glasses of wine, and a charcuterie board with cheeses, bread, crackers, fruits, and nuts.
1:00 p.m. - Get ready to head out for the day, and go ice skating at Old Kinderhook. Who doesn't love the romantic scenes in movies when the couple is having fun together hold hands and gliding across the ice. Even if you aren't experienced skaters, it can be a lot of fun to try keeping your balance and spending time together in the fresh air. Skating on Sundays is open 1:00 p.m. - 10:00 p.m.
3:00 p.m. - Instead of pre-purchasing gifts, visit the outlet mall and shopping centers to shop together for items you've had your hearts set on for some time. This can take the guesswork out of gift giving while also providing the fun experience of shopping and leisurely walking together. If you visit the Osage Beach Outlet Mall, try sampling smells at Bath & Body Works, grabbing a snack at Osage River Popcorn Company, and browsing gorgeous jewelry at Zales.
5:30 p.m. - Head to JB Hook's for a delicious dinner that you won't soon forget! Our Valentine's Day Dinner for Two is just $109 per couple and includes our legendary steak and lobster, a rose for the ladies, and complimentary cheesecake. Itinerary Two - Outdoor Adventure, Tasty Lunch, & a Movie
8:00 a.m. - Get up and eat an energizing breakfast together. Try making filling smoothies with frozen berries, almond milk, banana, and protein powder. Or, mix frozen berries, orange juice, banana, and a couple of handfuls of kale for a juice-based smoothie instead.
9:00 a.m. - Set out to Ha Ha Tonka for some outdoor winter adventure! Ha Ha Tonka State Park features beautiful castle ruins that people come from all around to visit, as well as a large trail system you'll love exploring. Bundle up with your special someone and set out on these gorgeous trails and pathways for a beautiful adventure you'll cherish for a long time. Witness several streams, gorgeous views of the lake, and lots of natural beauty surrounding you from all sides.
11:30 a.m. - Head over to JB Hook's for a romantic, delicious lunch! We are offering a Valentine's Day Lunch Special for two people at just $42 per couple. You and your special someone can choose from this incredible menu...
Soup or Salad: Garden Salad, Caesar Salad, Salmon Bisque, or Soup du Jour
Entrée: Pasta Primavera, Chicken Gregory, 8 oz. Traditional Prime Rib, or Fried or Coconut Shrimp
Dessert: Strawberry or Turtle-Style Cheesecake
You will also both be treated with a glass of wine to round out your tasty lunch with a view of the Lake of the Ozarks.
1:00 - 2:10 p.m. - Choose a movie at Eagles' Landing Cinema in Lake Ozark, MO. The theater is following all necessary precautions for social distancing, including requiring masks, spacing out the theater seating, and thorough cleaning and sanitizing practices. Choose from one of the following movies: Despicable Me 2 at 1:00 p.m., The Marksman at 1:40 p.m., Wonder Woman 1984 at 1:10 p.m., or The Croods: A New Age at 2:10 p.m.
After the Movies - Head home for a romantic night in. Find a new and challenging recipe to try together - like homemade pasta! Trying a new recipe and making it together could even be a fun new hobby. Turn on some music, blast it as loud as you want and have your own dance party in the house. Take time to forget about your daily responsibilities and have a great time together.
