Our Seafood - Delicious AND It's Good For You

It is recommended that you eat seafood twice a week. That's not advice from us, but trusted healthcare professionals. Personally, here at JB Hook's we want to eat seafood every day of the week, but we've got lots of delicious menu items for those other days of the week too.

Our restaurant has become known for having the best seafood at the Lake of the Ozarks. The talented chefs know how to make it taste amazing, but did you realize that seafood also has many health benefits?

Most seafood is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which are extremely heart healthy, can reduce blood pressure and depression, and may reduce tissue inflammation to alleviate the symptoms of arthritis.

Scallops are a great source of B vitamins, magnesium, and potassium. Lobsters also contain B vitamins, plus iodine and selenium, and it's low in calories. (If you go light on the butter!) Mahi is a source of complete protein, meaning it has all of the essential amino acids you need to survive.

JB Hook's offers a lot of different seafood, in many different ways. Our Shrimp and Oyster Bar is filled with popular menu items you can order any time. Today we have decided to share the ocean and freshwater fish dishes that we have available for dinner.
