Delicious Drinks to Pair With the Many Events Happening This Weekend
Not only is it a busy weekend here in the lake area with the Magic Dragon Car Show happening up the street from JB Hook's and the Spring Harbor Hop cruising back and forth below us on the water, but there's also more! Saturday, May 4, the Kentucky Derby will be broadcast on our TVs in the piano bar and on Sunday, May 5, according to the calendar, it's Cinco de Mayo. (Margaritas anyone?) In today's blog, our Lake of the Ozarks bar has a few drink ideas that pair perfectly with all of these events and celebrations.
The Kentucky Derby
This year will mark the 145th running of the Kentucky Derby. Fine thoroughbreds will compete for the crown and everyone watching will be donning their finest and sipping classic Southern cocktails. Kentucky bourbon seems like the perfect drink to enjoy while watching the race and JB Hook's has a couple of signature bourbon cocktails that you're going to love.
