It's Time for the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals at the Lake of the Ozarks
There are quite a few annual events at the Lake of the Ozarks that are worth making a trip to the area for, and the 31st Annual Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals is definitely one of them. It will be happening just up the street from JB Hook's, which means before, after, and between event activities, you can take a break at our Lake of the Ozarks lake view restaurant and bar!
2019 Magic Dragon Car Show
This unique, exciting, and very large car show is happening on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip May 3-5. It showcases all makes, models, and years of cars, trucks, and motorcycles. 1,000 vehicles will be on display, and thousands of people will flock to the lake area to enjoy this family fun event.
Admission is free, which is an incredible "price" for an exciting day that is enjoyable for all ages. The Bagnell Dam Strip will be closed to through traffic during show hours. You will be free to roam the streets filled with magnificent vehicles on display. It's like taking a nostalgic trip back to a day that looks as if it's straight out of the set of "American Graffiti." Take a Break at JB Hook's
The car show will be going on all weekend long, and that's a lot of walking! Plus, if it happens to be another hot May weekend, you'll want to have a nice place to get out of the heat, cool off, and refresh yourself. When you're ready to get off your feet for a while and take a break, make your way on over to our Lake of the Ozarks bar & restaurant.
We serve a delicious lunch menu daily from 11 am-4 pm in the bar, the Sunset Room and on our outdoor covered patio. Dinner begins nightly at 5 pm, and you can get appetizers and take advantage of our amazing Shrimp & Oyster Bar if you happen to come in between lunch and dinner.
Our Lake of the Ozarks Happy Hour times and days change seasonally, but during the Magic Dragon Street Meet Nationals, you can enjoy our extended Happy Hour drink specials and a very long list of half-price appetizers in the bar area on Friday from 3-8 pm and all day on Sunday. Those would be perfect times to plan your car show breaks!
We also feature the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks in our bar area from 5:30-8:30 every Monday-Saturday. That gives you a couple of different evenings during this year's car show to come into JB Hook's for some fantastic live entertainment to go along with our scrumptious menu items and delicious drinks.
