School's out for summer! If it's not for your kids yet, then it will be soon. Treat your children to one of your favorite things to do and bring them to the best lake view restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks. Amazing meals for adults isn't the only thing that we're good at here at JB Hook's. We also create tastes that kids of all ages love.

Our Lake of the Ozarks steak and seafood restaurant is a local favorite for many families. It's also the perfect place for all ages to eat if you are on vacation in the area. We offer a luxurious, yet casual atmosphere with the best 14-mile panoramic view of the lake from every seat in the house. Kids, and adults as well, love watching all of the boat traffic traveling up and down the lake. It's a beautiful bonus if you are dining when the sun sets.

Our Seafood - Delicious AND It's Good For You

It is recommended that you eat seafood twice a week. That's not advice from us, but trusted healthcare professionals. Personally, here at JB Hook's we want to eat seafood every day of the week, but we've got lots of delicious menu items for those other days of the week too.

Our restaurant has become known for having the best seafood at the Lake of the Ozarks. The talented chefs know how to make it taste amazing, but did you realize that seafood also has many health benefits?
Most seafood is packed with omega-3 fatty acids, which are extremely heart healthy, can reduce blood pressure and depression, and may reduce tissue inflammation to alleviate the symptoms of arthritis.
Scallops are a great source of B vitamins, magnesium, and potassium. Lobsters also contain B vitamins, plus iodine and selenium, and it's low in calories. (If you go light on the butter!) Mahi is a source of complete protein, meaning it has all of the essential amino acids you need to survive.

Our lake view bar at the Lake of the Ozarks will the the center of all the action during the "most exciting two minutes in sports." That is one title the Kentucky Derby has been given.  Another is the "Run for the Roses" because the winning thoroughbred is adorned with a blanket of red roses. We are one of the stops along this "Crawl for the Roses" that you can participate in, which is sponsored by Four Roses Kentucky Bourbon.

America's greatest race takes place at the world's most legendary racetrack, Churchill Downs, and has been happening since 1875. 3-year-old thoroughbred horses race 1.25 miles around a dirt track. A crowd of around 155,000 attends the races in person each year.
