The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop is Coming to the Lake of the Ozarks
JB Hook's loves sharing news and information about fun events in the lake area that our guests might enjoy, especially when they happen near our Lake of the Ozarks fine dining restaurant. It's even nicer when those events take place in the name of a worthy cause. Right up the street from us on Saturday, August 4, 2018, The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop will take place below Bagnell Dam.
The Duck Drop
The Duck Drop
This family fun event is enjoyable for all ages. Thousands of rubber duckies will be dropped from helicopters into the Osage River below Bagnell Dam. For just $5, you can "adopt" one of those ducks to call your own. Better yet, "adopt" an entire flock and increase your chances of winning the grand prize!
The first duck to cross the finish line after they have all been dropped will win $5,000! The 2nd place duck will earn $1,000 cash, and 3rd place will receive a $500 Woods Shopping Card. In addition to those winners, 8 random ducks will also be pulled from the water to win $100 gift cards from HyVee, Panera, Andy's Custard, and Randy's Frozen Custard.
All of the funds raised from this event will remain local, distributed by the Ozark Coast Kiwanis Organization to the numerous non-profit organizations that they donate to every year. If you'd like to purchase some duck drop tickets of your own, you can get them from Kiwanis members or at the following locations:
