4 Great Reasons Why the Lake of the Ozarks is Fantastic in the Fall
There is only a little over a week of summer left to enjoy. Autumn 2018 officially begins on Saturday, September 22, but that doesn't mean that it's too late for a trip to the Lake of the Ozarks. Summer is the most popular time for people to travel to the lake area, but there are lots of reasons to spend some quality time here in the fall too.
Breathtaking Scenery
The leaves will soon begin changing, which means that breathtaking scenery outside the windows of our Lake of the Ozarks lake view restaurant will take on a new beauty for you to enjoy. The weather generally stays nice enough in autumn that you can still have your lunch or an afternoon cocktail on our JB Hook's covered outdoor patio overlooking the lake. Even if there's too much of a chill in the air, the floor-to-ceiling windows in our restaurant allow you the same gorgeous, unobstructed view.
Live Music
The best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks continues all year long here at JB Hook's, not just during the lake's "busy season." Every Monday-Saturday from 5:30-8:30 pm we feature incredibly talented musicians in our piano bar. That overlaps with our very popular Happy Hour on certain days, which features amazing drink specials and a long list of delicious half-price appetizers.
You can always find an updated live music calendar on our website. Here is a look at the rest of September, and there will be more beautiful music coming your way next month too.
Fun Fall Events
Lots of lots of fun events take place around the lake area all year long, and fall definitely has its fair share of them! Those of us that live here year-round are lucky enough to have the chance to enjoy all of these activities. If you aren't from the area, you are always welcome to come back and experience them along with us. We've gathered some event dates here for you, and you can find more details about each of them by visiting www.Funlake.com.
Smaller Crowds
On some days, there are even no crowds at all! With school in session and a lot of boats already out of the water and stored away, you don't see as many people around the lake area this time of year. Many of the seasonal attractions are still open for business through the fall, plus the weather is still pleasant enough for you to get outside and enjoy nature. With smaller crowds, that means less time waiting for your turn and more time enjoying yourself!
There's a better chance that you will be seated right away for dinner at our Lake of the Ozarks fine dining restaurant with fewer people in town. We're very popular with the locals around here though, so if you don't want to take the chance of having a long wait to be seated, you can always make a reservation online through our website or give us a call at 573-365-3255. The fall is a spectacular time to enjoy everything that the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer, and we would love to share some of that with you here at JB Hook's.
