February Events at the Lake of the Ozarks
January offered residents and visitors to the Lake an event here and there, but this February is filled with a bit more excitement. JB Hook's is located in a perfect spot to be close enough to these events to be a great starting point before you head out to them. Here are a few fun things happening in the lake area in the coming month.
This is a big night at the Lake of the Ozarks that brings visitors from all around. 32 buses are available to shuttle you to more than 20 bars and restaurants. A $10 wristband gets you in to every participating establishment. Each one will feature some type of live entertainment.
All of these events are located just a short distance from JB Hook's. Our Lake of the Ozarks lake view restaurant is the perfect meeting spot before you head to one of these events, and a great gathering place afterwards. Don't forget to make your reservations for Valentine's Day early so that you are guaranteed your preferred dining time. It looks like February at the Lake is going to be pretty exciting. Have fun!
Gangster's Ball - February 5 & 6
Everyone is encouraged to dress in period attire to attend this 1930's era gangster style speakeasy performance. A talented troupe will entertain the crowd with singing, dancing, and a look into the lives of some exciting characters. The show begins at 8 pm each night in the Kinderhook event center at Camden on the Lake. Tickets are $20 in advance or $25 at the door.Vow Renewals at Bridal Cave - February 13
Bridal Cave hosts a free vow renewal every Valentine's Day between 9 am & 4 pm. Each couple receives fresh flowers for the bride, a downloadable wedding photograph, a goody bag filled with lake area discounts, and a lifetime pass to Bridal Cave. After your vows, a meal at JB Hook's would be the perfect ending to a romantic day!Mardis Gras Pub Crawl - February 20

Polar Bear Strut & Polar Plunge - February 27
This annual event benefits the local Special Olympics. If you would like to brave the cold wind and participate in the strut, a minimum of $50 needs to be raised. If you don't mind the cold water, then join other brave souls and collect donations to take the Polar Plunge and jump into the icy cold Lake of the Ozarks. A minimum donation collection of $75 is required to join this group.
Lake Bridal Show - February 28
The Lake of the Ozarks Wedding Association will be hosting its 3rd annual Lake of the Ozarks Bridal Show at the Lodge of Four Seasons from 11 am - 3 pm. Brides and grooms will have the chance to meet many talented wedding vendors from the area. They will also have a chance to win big-dollar prizes in a cake dive, participate in a newlywed-type game show, and bid on "vintage" wedding dresses in a silent auction benefiting local charities.
