Discover Our Extensive Wine List for National Wine Day
National Wine Day falls on May 25, 2019. It's a wonderful time to learn more about this delicious beverage and maybe even look for a few new ones to try. JB Hook's offers an extensive wine selection from behind the bar at our Lake of the Ozarks fine dining restaurant. We would be happy to help you to explore the many possibilities.
House Recipe Sangria
We highly suggest trying our very own house recipe Sangria when you dine at JB Hook's. It's a very popular favorite among our repeat guests. This carefully cultivated, magnificent blend is available as a White Peach Sangria and a Red Sangria, and it's also a part of our extended Happy Hour drink specials in the bar area.
You will also find a wide variety of wines both by the glass and by the bottle. For anyone new to drinking wine, we've included some basic descriptions of the different types you can enjoy. The descriptions are very general because depending on what region a particular type of wine comes from, the flavor will vary.
The longer you taste different wines, the more you will be able to pick out distinct flavors and choose which are most pleasant to you. After each description is a couple of examples from our wine list, but there are many more than just what we've included in today's blog. You can see a more complete JB Hook's wine list on our website.
WHITE WINES
Chardonnay - Quite possibly the most popular white wine, it is an excellent choice to enjoy with fish and chicken dishes. It tends to have a velvety taste, wide-bodied and dry, with rich citrus flavors.
