Mardi Gras Food & Drinks and Live Music at JB Hook's
Fat Tuesday has come and gone for 2018, but the lake area will be doing its celebrating this weekend on Saturday, February 17 at the Mardi Gras Pub Crawl. If that scene is a bit too overcrowded and wild for your taste, or even if you are participating but want to take a break from it for a while, join us at JB Hook's for an incredible night out.
Our Lake of the Ozarks restaurant may not be on the pub crawl route, but we still know how to make some tasty foods and delicious drinks with a bit of a Mardi Gras flair. We've even got our own live music in the bar area that evening, so you won't be missing out on any of the fun, just enjoying a calmer, more relaxing version of it.
Joe Farrell & The Continentals
JB Hook's features the best live music at the Lake of the Ozarks in our bar area Monday-Saturday from 5:30-8:30 pm. This happens to fall during a portion of our amazing Happy Hour every Monday-Friday, so in addition to great music, you can also enjoy excellent drink specials and half-price appetizers in the bar area.
On Saturday, February 17, the always entertaining Joe Farrell & The Continentals will be gracing our stage. They are local favorites, and always put on a memorable show. You can get a sneak peek of them on our Facebook by clicking here.
Festive Food
We mentioned above that we have our own tasty treats to enjoy that will put you in a Mari Gras-type of mood. We believe your taste buds will be thoroughly entertained by any one of these scrumptious dishes.
Cajun Style Calamari
Lightly dusted in flour and Cajun spices, flash-fried, and served with a side of cocktail sauce.
New Orleans BBQ Shrimp
Sauteed with beer, garlic, and Cajun spices.
Oysters on the Half Shell
Succulent Blue Point Oysters served with cocktail sauce and horseradish, available by the dozen or half-dozen.
Peel and Eat Shrimp
Served chilled over shaved ice with cocktail sauce and horseradish, available by the pound or half-pound.
Shrimp Cocktail
Served chilled, in a martini glass, with cocktail sauce and horseradish.
Delicious Drinks
When it comes to celebrating Mardi Gras, cocktails should be colorful, flavorful, and pack a yummy punch. Here are a few that you may like to try at JB Hook's this Saturday.
Hook's Lakewater
Coconut rum, blue curacao, creme de banana, melon liqueur, and a splash of pineapple juice.
Hook's Mai Tai
Dark rum, amaretto, triple sec, pineapple juice, and sweet & sour.
Hook's Bahama Mama
Light rum, coconut rum, Myers dark rum, banana liqueur, and a splash of pina colada mix.
The Lake Pub Crawl is an incredible event, but it's not for everyone. That's okay, because JB Hook's will be here that evening ready to show you an excellent time in a luxurious yet casual atmosphere. You may even want to stick around and enjoy dinner at our Lake of the Ozarks steak and seafood restaurant, or come in early and join us for lunch. Just let us know what you're in the mood for, and we'll do everything that we can to show you a wonderful, and delicious, time.
