Fall is when the days start getting shorter, but the best Happy Hour at the Lake of the Ozarks gets bigger! The lake area gets a little bit quieter in the off-season, so JB Hook's offers you a little extra time to sit back, relax, and enjoy all that our Happy Hour has to offer.  Extended Happy Hour We have lengthened our weekly Happy Hour by one hour, and we've done even better on the weekends by hosting it all day on Sunday ! In our opinion, this midday meal is highly underrated. We offer the best lunch at the Lake of the Ozarks and an incredible view to enjoy it by.  Those of us here at JB Hook's did a little digging, and we came up with a few interesting facts about this midday meal.   Lunch was originally called "dinner," and dinner was referred to as "supper." The wonderful men and women that voluntarily defend our country and everything that it stands for are very important to us. JB Hook's is not alone in the pride we feel for these wonderful Americans. The lake area has a couple of family friendly events this weekend honoring our veterans.  Hot Summer Nights - "Vettes For Veterans" The final Hot Summer Nights for 2016 will be taking place this Friday, September 9 , on the historic Bagnell Dam Strip , just up the road from your favorite Lake of the Ozarks fine dining restaurant . According to the event's Facebook page, there are already 76 Corvettes signed up to parade the strip, each carrying a veteran, and they expect to have more signed up before the weekend! This annual patriotic parade will begin at 6 pm, so you will want to make sure you have your spot to watch the parade well before that time.
