Fun, Food, & Fireworks at JB Hook's for Memorial Weekend

Memorial Weekend is finally upon us. Even though we have had some beautiful days already this spring, this holiday marks the official start of the vacation season. We are expecting to see a lot of visitors, both local and from far away, at our lake view restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks . Once you get arrive, here is what you can expect.   Fireworks The 14-mile panoramic view from JB Hook's allows viewing of many local fireworks displays over the holiday weekend. You can see the view from every seat in the restaurant.  An uninterrupted view of the gorgeous lake area can be enjoyed from the main dining room, our special event room, the bar, and the outdoor patio.    At dusk, we will turn the lights down to make the displays even more enjoyable. Personally, here at JB Hook's we want to eat seafood every day of the week, but we've got lots of delicious menu items for those other days of the week too.  Our restaurant has become known for having the best seafood at the Lake of the Ozarks . Crawl for the Roses Kentucky Derby Party - May 7

The 1st Annual Crawl for the Roses at the Lake of the Ozarks is taking place this Saturday, May 7, 2016 from 3 pm - 6 pm . JB Hook's is thrilled to be a part of this spectacular event in honor of the Kentucky Derby.  Our lake view bar at the Lake of the Ozarks will the the center of all the action during the "most exciting two minutes in sports." That is one title the Kentucky Derby has been given.  Another is the "Run for the Roses" because the winning thoroughbred is adorned with a blanket of red roses. We are one of the stops along this "Crawl for the Roses" that you can participate in, which is sponsored by Four Roses Kentucky Bourbon.  America's greatest race takes place at the world's most legendary racetrack, Churchill Downs, and has been happening since 1875. 3-year-old thoroughbred horses race 1.25 miles around a dirt track.
