A celebration with exquisite food, delicious drinks, and the most beautiful panoramic view of the lake is sure to be an occasion that people will not soon forget.  JB Hook's has every bit of that to offer!  The best seafood and steak restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks has two different rooms available to rent for private functions alongside our regular dining room, bar area, and beautiful patio. When you are in the mood for delicious seafood at the Lake of the Ozarks , JB Hook's is the place to go.  Today we would like to highlight our savory Shrimp and Oyster Bar menu.  It features an amazing assortment of Shrimp, Oysters on the Half Shell, Mussels, and Clams.        New Orleans BBQ Shrimp Sauteed with beer, garlic and Cajun Spices Shrimp Cocktail Served chilled, in a martini glass with cocktail sauce and horseradish Garlic Shrimp sauteed in butter, garlic, white wine and finished with a hint of lemon Peel 'N Eat Shrimp Served chilled over shaved ice with cocktail sauce & horseradish.  Available by the dozen or half dozen. A Little JB Hook's History- Then & Now

The JB Hook's of today has been through some big changes over the past 25 years.  The Lake of the Ozarks best seafood restaurant has survived name changes, Lake area construction, and a destructive fire.   The restaurant was originally called called Captain Hook's two and a half decades ago, and then later changed to Krazo's.  John LaFata and Bruce Elliot opened it as JB Hook's in February of 1995. Tragically, that only lasted for 3 months before a fire blazed through the restaurant destroying much of the building.  An entire Lake of the Ozarks Summer season had to be missed during the rebuilding before the restaurant opened it's doors back up in September of 1995. The new version of the building has undergone several architectural changes and additions since then.  The lower kitchen and Sunset Room were added to offer a lunch menu.  It is enclosed within three walls of glass, offering an uninterrupted and truly breathtaking view of the Lake.  ...

Lake Race 2015 This Weekend

This weekend the excitement of the Offshore Super Series powerboat races is coming to the Lake.  JB Hook's Great Ocean Fish and Steaks at the Lake of the Ozarks is proud to be a sponsor for last year's winning Lake Race team, Cat Can Do .  You can see this amazing boat parked right in our restaurant parking lot Thursday and Friday before they head on over to the Dam.   Here is this weekend's Lake Race schedule of events: Friday June 5th 9am --The lower Bagnell Dam Strip area will be closed to traffic, and Race Village set up will begin 6pm-- Lake Race Street Party on Historic Bagnell Dam Strip begins.
