Coming up soon (on August 5 to be exact) is a holiday celebrating a delicious type of seafood that we proudly serve at JB Hook's - National Oyster Day . Oysters are full of fantastic flavor and healthy nutrients. Our Lake of the Ozarks seafood restaurant  found a few fun facts that make them extremely interesting as well. JB Hook's is a part of a wonderful community where a lot of fun activities and events take place. When those things also raise money for deserving local organizations, that makes them even more special. Just up the road from our seafood & steak restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks an incredible family fun event is taking place soon - The Great Bagnell Dam Duck Drop on Saturday, August 3, 2019 . The Duck Drop This wonderful annual event at the Lake of the Ozarks is celebrating its 11th year and offers fun for all ages. There is a golf tournament on Friday and a Family Fun Zone on Saturday along with the chance to watch thousands of rubber duckies "fly" from helicopters and out of pontoon boats into the Osage River below Bagnell Dam. Nearly a year ago we used our blog to tease some exciting news - A Bigger, Better JB Hook's ! The much anticipated new addition of our fine dining restaurant at the Lake of the Ozarks is now open for business! Many of you have already stopped by to check it out. The peek we're giving you in today's blog is sure to entice the rest of you to come in soon and do the same. The West Wing is OPEN! Construction of the brand new West Wing of JB Hook's started a year ago in July 2018. Our very own, very talented Bruce Elliott designed the addition. You can now enjoy our gorgeous, spacious, and comfortable newest addition 7 days a week beginning at 4:00 pm . That is when the doors open for cocktails in the lounge and bar area as well as that beautiful new outdoor patio. Dinner service begins nightly at 5:00 pm.
